Christian Literature Center is a literature ministry of the Council of Baptist Churches in North East India (CBCNEI) serving the needs of churches through publication and distribution of Christian Books. It started with an aim of serving the needs of the Churches in North East India in spreading the Good News of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ having various languages and dialects. The aim is still the same where in, we continue to pursue the vision of reaching out to every community of the CBCNEI family and beyond with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We not only publish books but also connect with various Christian publishers to meet the needs of the people with sound doctrines and biblically grounded Christian literatures to assist churches and its members in their ministry and daily Christian living. Our desire is to see our churches with a strong biblical foundation through the help of good Christian books.

It is a platform where everyone gets benefited and the resources within the community are well utilized from us the publisher, the authors, the readers and the churches. A platform where local authors are encouraged to share their God’s given talent in the form of writing biblically, theologically with sound doctrines for the glory of God. This we believe will help in producing more tribal context theology books and other Christian books in our own tribal context and assist the growth of our churches.

We also extend our hand in printing as deem required by Church conventions, organizations and individual churches for any kinds of materials like songbooks, hymnals, vernacular Bibles, brochure, Church diaries, souvenirs, church programs etc. at a reasonable price as our service towards the church ministry. Recently with the request from many of our schools we started providing school materials such as books, stationeries and uniforms, copier machines and other essential utilities through CLC Enterprise.

Our Vision:
We envisioned being a Life Transforming Biblical Recourse Centre for Churches under CBCNEI and beyond with commitment and passion. To promote and encourage Christian literature which are well grounded biblically in all dialects and languages for to all the readers for the expansion of God’s Kingdom.

Mission Statement:
Christian Literature Centre is a literature ministry of the Council of Baptist Churches in North East India. To publish and distribute books in both print and media forms for everyone seeking to know more about God. To encourage local writers through our CBCNEI churches to use their God given gift of writing with sound doctrine well grounded biblically and theologically in our own context. To be a channel of meeting the needs of the churches by providing good Christian books in partnering with other Christian publishers. To be a center where well balance contextualized Christian materials are made in abundance in all dialects for growth of the churches and for those
seeking to know about Jesus Christ.

The Core Value and Purpose:
● To be a witness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through both printed and media form.
● To be a Life Transforming Biblical Recourse Centre for Churches under CBCNEI and beyond with commitment and passion.
● To encourage sound Baptist doctrines well grounded biblically and theologically.
● To publish books in various languages and dialects for all to read and learn the love of Jesus Christ.
● To print Bible and Hymnals in various languages and Dialects in collaboration with churches under CBCNEI.
● To encourage Church members under CBCNEI to write contextualized Christian books to make the Gospel more relevant to the people.
● To produce adult literacy, social education materials and train people in the use of them.
● To promote and encourage churches under CBCNEI to have book rooms or library thereby encourage members to read and grow in their Christian faith who otherwise may not be able to buy on their own.
● To produce well-contextualized Sunday schools materials for the churches under CBCNEI where our children will grow with a good Biblical and theological foundation. These we believe will strengthen the growth of our churches because future church belongs to them.
● To produce supplemental Christian resources and materials for the believers in the form of Cards, bookmarks, tracts, audio-visual aids, church articles, calendars and anything that help in church growth.
● To collaborate with other Christian publishers in meeting the need of the churches in the form of books, bible and the likes.
● To have various book stores across CBCNEI convention centres and beyond to help and generate revenues to support the CLC ministry.
